I am guessing this was closed by the mid 1980's. Safeway built a new store up on Mountain City Highway (currently Builder's Mart) sometime in the 1986 period. This store was part of the Salt Lake City division, so that took care of that store. It ended up as various things throughout the 1990's such as Family Food/Drug and DiOrozio's IGA, before finally closing for good as a grocery store by 1999.

Ths interior of this drug store is fantastic. Light, bright, and airy. Aisles aren't too high so it really exposes the free, high ceiling.



Ironically, for years, after American Stores closed their Skaggs Alpha Beta Stores in Utah, this store was the closest full line store to the American Stores corporate headquarters (still a couple hundred miles away, at that).
