Horn & Hardant was to only automat I was exposed to growing up in New York. I even participated within a feeding in Philadelphia. I still recall the little glass doors that held such delicious looking food items prisoner until you dropped your coin or token into the slot to rescue it. I still have some photo/s somewhere of me participating in my favorite activity at a Horn & Hardart - eating.
