Her article refers to these as "zombie stores." It focuses on the former Lucky supermarket in Larkspur, Calif. at at 570 Magnolia Avenue, which the article says closed in April 2023.

Also mentioned in said article: the Fillmore/Geary Safeway that has been closed now for about 1.5 years in San Francisco.
Most interesting (but not surprising once I thought of it) was the Trader Joe's mentioned in the article, at first I'm thinking, "what does Albertsons have to do with that?" But I THINK the one referenced is very specifically a pre-1999 Lucky/post-1999 former Albertsons location in Oakland.
