Jamestown was the birthplace both Lof ucille Ball and of the Flickinger franchise and private label system (Red & White, Super Duper, etc.).

Quality was a home town chain. They expanded into various small towns in Western NY and NW Pennsylvania, eventually having some locations in the Buffalo area. They were bought by Penn Traffic (Riverside, Bi-Lo), whose bankruptcy lead to their demise.
