I provided a photo of the old downtown Palm Springs Safeway previously as it sat vacant from Staples exit but thought it was time for an update and photo circa 1950/1960 just as Grocery Outlet is poised to move in, the building is in very good condition and is located uniquely between two busy streets Indian Canyon and South Palm Canyon, interestingly Indian Canyon will return to a two way street just as it was when Safeway was operating at 350 South Palm Canyon

Interesting photos. I assumed that the entrance had always been on Highway 111 (as it was with Staples IIRC).

Finally those dummy city council folks are doing something right by returning Indian Canyon to a two way street.

I hope they do the same with Palm Canyon which is way more important to do than Indian Canyon.
