A very nice before-and-after photo was published in the Long Beach Press Telegram showing the Lucky Store days before opening in 1964 along with a photo of the building which is now occupied by a Ralphs.

I am guessing the original Lucky was torn down.

Edit: The again, looking at the historic aerial and the new bing birds eye view, the center roof line still matches.
