Monte Mart

Anyone remember Monte Mart? They had two stores, one in Hanford and one in Porterville. Anyone know how good they did or who owned those stores?
Monte Mart was owned by Albertsons. They also had stores in West Sacramento (long closed, by the 80's, site of current Walgreens), Del Rey Oaks, and in Salinas. I suspect there are more.
Hanford is still open (it opened in the early 1990's) and is owned by Supervalu now.
Porterville closed sometime within the past year or two.
Salinas currently operates as a FoodsCo (perhaps the only FoodsCo that is with a pharmacy and open 24 hours).
Del Rey Oaks closed as Ralphs in March, but Safeway has purchased it and is doing some remodel on it now. Ralphs did a very nice job remodeling that location, and it was the largest Ralphs I had ever seen. You could not tell this one had been a Monte Mart for the past 30 years with how it had been maintained. There was also a tenant up front called the "Monte Mart Travel Center."
