I remember going to the opening of the plaza in early 1977. It had a JC Penneys, Montgomery Wards, and a Broadway. It didn't do to well from what i remember, and by the early 90's closed down. It has been sitting vacant for over 10 years. Not sure why it hasn't been re developed. Tho i've not been by there in while.

The old Montgomery Wards store was converted about 2 years ago to county offices. Apparently that was the whole idea for the entire mall, but nothing has come of it. You can see in the one picture the "wall" created when they closed off the old Wards store from the mall to make the offices.
