Can't tell if this is a gable or marina from this angle, but it clearly has the classic stone facade, and a lonely, blank circle where the Circle S used to lie. Anyone know where this store is?

I would guess it's on Business Route 205/old US 50 (judging from the rest of the album and the user's Flickr icon, a US 50 shield). I was actually on that road a bit over a year ago, though I didn't see this particular building.

This is the gable at 1210 N Tracy Blvd that opened in 1960, which is now Kragen Auto Parts. This closed as a Safeway in the late 1980s when Safeway moved to a different location. I didn't go inside, but it looked pretty intact from the outside, right down to the original streetlights.

1801 W 11th in Tracy looks like it could be the replacement for this store. And looking at aerial views, its a gable.

Actually 1801 W 11th is the replacement for 1950 W 11th, across
the street, which is now Save Mart. Safeway left Tracy for a few years in the late 80s/early 90s, from about 86/87 when the gable closed to 92. I grew up in Tracy so I know all this stuff.

The 1950 W. 11th store was a marketplace store which, if I recall correctly, was remodeled into the late 1990s/early 2000s (dark brown, gold, etc.) decor just before it relocated across the street.

I was driving through Tracy a lot at the time, and the day I saw that new Safeway going up, I knew immediately that Save-Mart was going to take the old location and close the old (former Albertsons, now some kind of dollar store) store closer to downtown. I was right.
