Liquor Store Sign -- Recycled Safeway?

Doesn't it look like Angela has recycled some interior signage from a 70's Safeway? Apart from the "A" and the "L", I think the font is identical to what was used on department signage in a 1970's Safeway store...

It sure does look like Safeway signage. Where was this photo taken?

I took that photo yesterday, in downtown Fresno. This store is on the edge of the 'hood -- I haven't gone inside to see if there is any other vintage Safeway signage inside. If this is indeed Safeway signage it's just odd that it would turn up 20 years after the last Safeway in the area with this decor went out of business.
