Union/Unocal 76 - Fast Serve?

Does anyone remember what the first year was that Union/Unocal 76 had opened their first "Fast Serve" gas stations, and what "fast serve" even meant? I would like to think these locations first appeared in the early 1980s, probably during the company's name change from "Union 76" to "UNOCAL 76."
These locations had the motorized convex sign with the 76 circle logo on the left half and "Fast Serve" on the right half. Pictures of these stores from back then are very hard to find these days. In the 1990s, this rotating sign and the earlier iconic ball sign were both removed from these particular locations.

I think this was used in states such as Oregon and New Jersey where self-serve was not allowed. Oregon is the only place where I have seen the 76 "Fast Serve" signage. Chevron and others also used the term "Mini Serve". While Oregon now allows self-serve, there is still a lot of the Mini-Serve signage in use. Many stations in Oregon are now designating one island as self-serve while keeping the other as mini or fast serve.
One such location where I remember a rotating 76 "Fast Serve" sign like you describe was at 102nd & Glisan in Portland. According to Google Maps, that sign was removed some time between 2007-2009. More recent road signs did have the words "Mini Serve" for a while.

I remember one here in downtown Oregon City with that same sign, as well as one on SE 82nd Ave.
I also think some of these "Fast Serve" locations had the old ball sign first and then were remodeled during the 1980s with the convex sign replacing the original ball sign.
