They've done a fantastic job maintaining the sign over the years.
I am glad the new sign will remain the same style of letters?
I'm sour over how the buggy signs have disappeared but you can't stop progress I guess. There may still be a buggy sign in Walsenburg, CO.

There is a Safeway in Pleasant Hill, California on Contra Costa Boulevard. It has a vintage 1980s style Safeway Food & Drug Logo. It used to be neon inside, but it might have switched to LED in recent years.
This was originally a Kroger operated Fry's and then rebranded to Save Mart in 1990. In 1996 or so it was traded to Safeway in exchange for some Safeway stores in the Fresno area.
The store has been unable to change to the new Lifestyle logo even though the store was remodeled to Lifestyle in about 2004.
