So part of the recent round of SuperValu's Albertsons closures are the two nearest me. The one in Garden Grove (Harbor & Garden Grove Blvd) is complete with the (in)famous teal and orange Lucky decor. But if you look hard enough, You'll not only see remnants of Smith's (the red checkstands and the floor tile) but even Sav-On decor in the Liquor department!

Don't forget the floral fixture that is a leftover from Smiths. I remember one other leftover Smiths department fixture in that store, possibly over the hot chinese food area that was being leased out to someone (and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Rice Garden)... but that was about 12 years ago...

I thought this store closed a while ago. Interesting to see it made it this long.

The former Smith's-turned-Albertson's on Azusa Ave. in Covina also closed recently.
