Acme in Springfield, PA

I saw an Acme in downtown Springfield, PA (Delaware County), where I live, in a local history book. The picture was taken in the 40's. This makes me wonder if Acme ever had more modern stores in Springfield town limits. There are a few buildings here I suspect could have been Acme. Currently there are Acmes in Clifton Heights, Broomall, and Media which all border Springfield. The only supermarket in Springfield currently is a Genuardi's, but there were an A&P and Penn Fruit in the past and I think Food Fair. There is a Giant supposed to be built now, but the union construction workers are on strike (and protest the site every day!)
