I noticed an article in the Santa Barbara News Press on 10/3 that the 1959 gable Safeway/Vons at Chapala and Victoria St. in downtown Santa Barbara will close in December. This is the store with the mosaic along Victoria St, and has been discussed in other threads on this board.
According to the story, Safeway has sold the property.
