If anyone else is game to play dodge the security cameras and get the rest of the photos in this interior...I would definitely suggest caution in the SVU operated Albertsons Stores.

The White Center Albertsons, just south of Seattle looks very similar to the Albertsons in The Dalles. After looking at your pictures, The Dalles store looks like a converted ABS Marina store like the White Center store. The difference with the exteriors is in that the White Center store has brownish metal trim/awings above the entryways to both sides of the Albertsons sign area. The interior of the White Center store has the decor package from the early 90's, which has the grey background and blue lettering.

I wonder if they could fit a few more security cameras in there. Hopefully you weren't hassled by anyone in the store.

It appears that store has had some minor wall repainting since its late 1980s-era remodel. It also appears that every light fixture has half of the tubes missing, which is something I have also noticed at several other Albertsons stores recently, including a newer store in Vancouver at Salmon Creek.

The security cameras pointing down every aisle are pretty common now. Every Safeway I've seen lately has them mounted below the wall graphics on the back wall of the store. Albertson's has a very prominent LCD monitor and camera hanging in the entryway to each store around here as well... I think their aisle cameras tend to be a bit more discreet than the ones shown here, however. (I had never noticed them, while Safeway's stood out to me.)

That reminds me -- I've noticed that Walgreens mounts a security camera with a strobe light on both exterior walls that lead up to the entrance of their stores. The light flashes day and night. What's with that? (I guess it's to draw your attention to the cameras, but it seems a bit much.) At the first store I saw with them, I thought the fire alarm had been activated, since commercial fire alarms usually have strobe lights to alert the deaf.

Too bad we can't see the Alberstons in The Dalles. But here is the one in White Center, near Seattle. I thought it looked similar.
