hey guys! are simon david stores still around...?? it was the gormet brother to Randells/Tom Thumb stores! but when safeway bought the chain, i never heard anything bout simon david....anyone know if they are still around...?? thanks!

After two tries two decades apart, that's the conclusion Tom Thumb has made about its Simon David specialty supermarket.
On Wednesday, the Simon David in the Lincoln Park shopping strip across from NorthPark Center will shed the upscale name. The 1-year-old location will be called Tom Thumb Flagship, a tagline borrowed from Randalls Food Markets Inc. in Houston.
