A few comments:

All of the former LeBlanc's stores were formerly known as LeBlanc's Payless Markets; they lost that moniker just before the sale to Rouses.

6315 Airline Highway was a centennial store, torn down in the 80s. The foundation is still there, but a truck stop is on the site now. It's not in the best area of town.

3138 College Drive was built as a Kroger Superstore, but didn't stay long, changing over to A&P, then Super Fresh before closing in the early 90s. It would remain vacant until the Village Square center was almost completely demolished in 2004, save for Office Depot, to redevelop for Walmart.

6955 Florida was a very short-lived Kroger Superstore II greenhouse next to a large Howard's Brandiscount. It wasn't A&P very long either...

12112 Florida was remodeled into an A&P Futurestore before its demise, but built as a Kroger Superstore. The futurestore facade is still present.

11321 Florida Blvd did spend time as Super Saver, but closed around 2002-2004. 8950 Greenwell Springs Rd. suffered the same fate. Both closed at the same time.

9708 Greenwell Springs Road was indeed Winn Dixie, followed by Shopper's Value, but is now self storage. The Baton Rouge/Lafayette/New Orleans SVF franchisee bit off more than they could chew by buying several former WInn Dixie stores in all three cities; few are still open, because if WD didn't want them, who would?

2812 Kalurah is a frontage road for the Perkins Road overpass just north of I-10. Bet-R has been there forever.

12732 Perkins Road is supposed to reopen as Oak Point Market - not sure if that has happened yet.

9830 Old Hammond Highway has only been Walmart Neighborhood Market. Further down Old Hammond Highway at its intersection with Millerville Road, there is a former Delchamps there, which you have listed at 1131 Millerville. Same for 14241 Coursey - that land was not developed until Walmart came in with the Neighborhood Market. Walmart did completely gut a Delchamps at 5255 Hiighland Rd.
6855 Plank Road is adjacent to a former Woolco; there has not been retail at this address since 1983 when Woolco closed; it is a factory now.

12250 Plank also spent time as Save-A-Lot after Winn Dixie. Winn Dixie signage remained after closure.

4530 S. Sherwood Forest was the last A&P-owned store in Louisiana outside New Orleans.

5050 Scenic Highway is now a parking lot for the ExxonMobil Refinery, one of their largest.

402 S. Range in Denham Springs was most recently a very short lived Albertsons, who moved in to much fanfare, only to close in under a year.

2330 S Range in Denham Springs - Delchamps actually made a lateral move in this center to the former Kmart with a Delchamps Premier. As you can imagine, it didn't live long.

14635 Airline in Gonzales is actually a Prairieville store; it was the final gasp for LeBlanc's before the sale.

2300 Church St. in Zachary was massively expanded after Winn Dixie; the Rouses store sells hardware under an Ace franchise. A Kmart store has long been dormant in the same center.

5005 Church is in the process of becoming Aldi.

4527 Main St is now the Zachary Fire Department

5514 Main has not been a supermarket since Walmart moved across to the Supercenter in the 90s. It is currently Five Below, Hibbett Sports and TJMaxx.

Holy Crap! That's a lot.

Also, a few missing:

14485 Greenwell Springs Road. Currently Oak Point Market, but formerly Sav-A-Center, and the final Kroger Greenhouse built in the Baton Rouge area before they pulled out.

13533 Hooper Road. Former Winn Dixie, currently Tractor Supply.

10974 Joor Road. Current Winn Dixie that replaced Hooper Road.

All those are actually in the list except 13533 Hooper Road, which I will add as soon as I can find dates. I will also add a note that Greenwell Springs opened as a Kroger, probably between 1980 and 1983. Thanks!

How does Hi Nabor (5383 Jones Creek Road) not have a listing prior to 1996? It's been around since the 1980s and it was in Supermarket & Hypermarket Design Vol. 2 (published 1992).

Maybe because it was not listed in the 1990 directory and it was listed in 1996, and those are the two time points I used based on the only reference I had?

It may have opened too late to get into the 1990 directory , but if you have a specific opening date prior to 1990, I'll be happy to update it. For now I will add a note that it was definitely open in 1992.

The two stray Delchamps/Walmart errors were aapprently a copy/paste issue. They're deleted now.

Per Historic Aerials, which shows the store under construction, and this article from The Advocate noting the founder of Hi Nabor's death, the store opened in 1982.

One more for now:

3525 Perkins Road: The center currently at that location was not the referenced one here. Woolco set up shop here in the late 60's/early 70's with an attached supermarket, which was A&P. Walmart moved in when Woolco shut down. A&P became Super Fresh, but closed long before the Walmart did. The grocery became Books-A-Million. The entire strip was razed around 2010, and a new strip was built in 2013; Trader Joe's is in the middle of it. Ironically, 2nd and Charles is around the same place that B-A-M was.
