I've done some digging around and came up with this TV ad for a place called "Emmanuel's Mega Mart" at 35th and Prospect in KC, MO.

Now for the pressing questions:

The yellow paint on the arches makes me think that Food Barn may have done some kind of yellow scheme.

Now for those of you who play our home game...Food Barn was SWY's KC division and spun in the late 80s. By 1994, it was gone entirely, sold to Associated Wholesale Grocers and split up among its members.

I'm gonna rule out this was Food 4 Less since Kansas City proper was a Fleming market for F4L (they closed those by 2000)

How much of this from the pics I have is still original Safeway?
