Pretty big update to the Sacramento location list as I managed to get access to the county directories. That filled in a lot of holes:

A 1957 photo of the Safeway building at 915 Broadway in Sacramento is in Calisphere:

The store opened on or about November 5, 1957, according to the photo caption.
The 1957 Safeway building still stands today, although it is no longer a Safeway store. See this 2019 Google Street View:

Today the former Safeway store building is divided into three smaller businesses. Selland's Market Cafe now occupies the easterly portion of the building (Suite 300). Silva Stowell Architects LLP occupies the westerly portion of the building (Suite 100). Another business occupies the central portion (Suite 200).
On April 25, 2015, the "Sacramento Bee" wrote about the renovation of the Safeway store building into the current space for the three businesses. See:

This website says that the 1957 Safeway building was constructed on the site of the former Bell Conservatory, a flower-growing facility:

Ooh, that's a nice one! I'm pleasantly surprised that the zigzag canopy is still perfectly intact.Jason B. wrote: ↑17 Oct 2021 03:42 The 1957 Safeway building still stands today, although it is no longer a Safeway store. See this 2019 Google Street View:

The architectural firm that's taken up residence here lists the building as one of their projects. Kudos to them for improving the landscaping and accessibility of the premises without taking away the mid-century modern character at all.
