I recently wrote a history of Seattle's Groceteria Stores chain. In it I also touch on Piggly Wiggly (of Puget Sound/King County) which I intend to write more about.

My end goal here is to reach 1959, with the resignation of Monte L. Bean from Tradewell. I will entangle that with his "everyday modern" store design experiment. Along the way I expect to write articles about Seattle A&P, Eba's Markets, Anderson's>United>Mutual Groceries, M. L. Bean's grocery bio, and a few other topics.
Please feel free to share any thoughts on those stores that you have, or to point me to existing threads that I haven't found yet.
I've also written about Tradewell predecessor Augustine & Kyer http://ba-kground.com/augustine-kyer-tr ... ry-part-1/ and a bit more about the farm of A&K founder Charles Louch http://ba-kground.com/charles-louch-far ... ry-part-2/
I am new to groceteria.com, I hope to get to know you all better.
