This site is a former Stuart Anderson's Black Angus.
The City of Industry CA site is gone, correct Jeff? It was near Olive Garden.

City of Industry became BJ's Brewhouse Restaurant.
West Covina (Azusa/Rowland) is vacant, building for lease.

Re: Stuart Anderson's Black Angus
thanks luckysaver.
Did they remodel the site for BJs or was it demolished and rebuilt?
There had been a VELVET TURTLE next door as well. It is long gone.
That area has lost a lot of restaurants. On the other side of the freeway, Mimi's and Claim Jumper have both closed. On Azusa, El Torito closed as well.

In Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR many locations were once branded as Cattle Company. Was there a difference other than the name?
Re: Stuart Anderson's Black Angus
There was a Cattle Company in the classic building design for years on Des Moines' south side. The airport forced them out, claiming they needed the space (for the purpose of space). The owner fought them for awhile over compensation.
They then moved into an old Chi Chi's building, but didn't last long there.
I always thought the Black Angus/Cattle Company buildings were really cool and unique.

Closes tomorrow, and will reopen in the fall as a sports bar.
Re: Stuart Anderson's Black Angus
wow nice start up! I'm planning to have a business like this...
Re: Stuart Anderson's Black Angus
I don't think so.Super S wrote:In Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR many locations were once branded as Cattle Company. Was there a difference other than the name?
The Anchorage location is still open as Cattle Company. There is another unrelated restaurant called "Black Angus" in town, which is why I think the Anchorage Stuart Anderson's got the Cattle Company name.
