Have any one of my fellow Portlanders here ever went to this BK, which had opened in 1978 and had shut down sometime in the 1990s? Throughout its lifetime, both as BK and thereafter until being demolished recently, it was notorious for attracting unwanted guests.
It was at 707 W Burnside St. in downtown Portland, just south of the Union Station. The exterior is unique (at least for a Portland-area BK) in that there are two BK logos seen to the left and right of the building, rather than a storefront reading "BURGER KING - HOME OF THE WHOPPER" on the mansard roof, and the road sign which has the big BK logo, with a header reading "HOME OF THE WHOPPER" below that, which many other '70s-early '80s BKs went for.
