There was an Alphy's at Hacienda & Valley. The last time I was in the area...it was Denny's.

Alphy's had the distinct building...with the large round window on the side.

That's the one within City of Industry! It must have opened around '74 or '75 since Esther Cramer never updated the book.

Thanks!

Sure!

The Superior market in that center opened as Zody's. I went to the grand opening. A member of the Dodgers came! It then became HomeClub, then morphed into HomeBase. Ultimately Superior.

The Starbucks opened as Tom Sawyer's Fried Chicken.

I remember an Alphy's in Van Nuys ca. 1982 but; for the life of me, can't remember its exact location. E of Van Nuys Blvd near Victory or Vanowen?

Apparently Millie's bought up some Alphy's stores in 1982. I don't know if the Fontana store was one of those.

"The Millie's success story began in 1982, when R&M Foods purchased 16 Alphy's restaurants from Denny's Inc."
