I spotted this store while in Oceanside yesterday. Any idea as to what it used to be?

It is definitely a Safeway. That was confirmed to me several years back by someone from the area when I'd asked the same question somewhere.

Ive driven by that store so many times. Its on South Coast Hwy on the south side of Oceanside.

The cars are in the way...but are there remnants of a circular area on the left side entrance...where the S would've been?!

I think this design had the Circle S in the area where the address was. I saw a similar style elsewhere and it was placed in that location

If my memory serves me right, the Safeway in El Monte (later a Food Barn and then a Smart and Final) looked like this before several remodels.

Isn't there one in Fresno that was similar to this in design?
A marina former Safeway in Sunnyvale has a similar set of "ends" to the roof...
