The former PAVILLIONS site off the 10 in Upland is now an outlet-type store.

They pulled a number of the frig/freezer cases out...yet, the bakery area is still there...simply with a partition in front of it!

what do you mean by an outlet-type store?

Exactly! I was just confused from the sign. I thought it was going to be a variety of independent merchants. It seems more like a BIG LOTS!...lots of stuff...mainly dumped on tables. Furniture too.

I will have to get the name the next time I drive by. Their logo looks rather professional...so not sure solely independent.

What I also enjoyed...was the former pharmacy. It is sitting there like a "box"...and the staff is using it like an office. You can still see the labels on the drawers for the various items the pharmacists stored!

yes the Pavilions is now a Remart which sells various items nothing food like stereos, pottery, some other electronics, etc. I have seen damaged and small quantity left overs from Costco there. I remember at the opposite end of that shopping center where Home Depot is located now there was a very small DMV office that closed after the new one opened on Garey Ave in Pomona. I took my drivers test there when I was 16 and the DMV clerk made me drive on the freeway and was I scared! lol!

Has been some time since I have been able to get back to this site. Must've been 2 years!

Site is doing well...actually seems to be thriving.

Close-out stuff from sites. As mentioned, many Costco (Kirkland) items. Furniture/appliances that I believe had been floor samples.

This is the only Remart location.

For Groceteria folks...this is a "must see" site to visit!

They have maintained the site so true to the former Pavilions!

The former produce area still has the indoor/outdoor-type carpeting. Yet, the display tables had been ripped out. So, the tile under those tables appear. There are banks of curtains around the back perimeter...which is used for storage. Peeking through (that's me!), you see the former area where the refrig and freezer cases had been ripped out. Also, the former meat/bakery areas seem as tho they had been when they were being utilized. Red/white tile still on the walls.

What I assume was a WELLS FARGO in-store branch (guessing due to the bullet proof glass!) is office area for Remart, which moved from the former pharmacy area.

The former pharmacy area was sort of gutted (mainly just the cabinets), and it is now used for the "high-end" close-outs.

Place this site on your list if you are looking for a nostalgic trip down grocery lane!

Are the old kitchen areas for the hot food areas still in the middle of the store?

No. From what I can tell...of what is left...they are in the back right hand corner.

Do stop by Jeff!

I did a few years ago when it first opened. It still had the Panda-Express kitchen area in the middle of the store (or it could have been slightly off center)
