To answer the latter, both Albertsons and Safeway are affected (though notably there are very few divestitures in Northern California).

It seems to be a compressed version of the font used in the late-70s/early-80s (before the switchover to the square S).

This happened late last year/earlier this year but I hadn't posted about it yet. New store has ground floor parking/second floor supermarket space, and the mural that adorned the older building was relocated elsewhere in the structure.

The Arby's near me in eastern Sacramento closed about a year ago under rather odd circumstances (seems to have been a lost-their-lease situation).
