Our Ralphs in Oceanside had this decor when it opened. Very stark looking with a lot of digital signage hanging from the ceilings. I remember how modern it seemed.

Hey Jeff. Where are you located? seems that you are around here some where lol. Anyways, when I was younger, there was a CVS store in the Plaza Camino Real mall in Carlsbad, CA. In fact several freestanding Oscos in PHX call their food depts "Albertsons Mini Markets"! So do the stores here in California (Savon of course). Since the ABS merger, Albertsons has wanted their name all over thing inside of Savon (for a time, the name badges only said Albertsons, no Sav...

Lucky Stores also had a female spokesperson in the 1990s, but I don't think she was associated with any specific brand other than that of the store itself. In an early episode of Friends (season 2 I think), Lady Lee (Lucky) milk is featured during an informercial in which Joey is trying to open a carton of milk. I always loved that since the show was set in New York. I remember that too! Quite a few TV shows featured Lady Lee products, most of them ta...

The build from scratch Lucky/Sav-On combo stores were very nice stores with excellent product variety. The old Smiths that were converted to that format in SoCal were pretty good too as far as the merchandising goes, but not as nice looking with all of the old Smiths equipment in there and the Luck...

Anyone remember these old interiors. I also wonder if this store is still like it. This store was shut d...

Odd stores those were. ASC first tried this concept in San Diego under the "Lucky Advantage" banner, and was later expanded to the former "Lucky" in Oceanside, CA under the "Price Advantage" banner. Shortly before grand opening, Price Club filed an injunction to stop AS...

I originally contacted you about this.. While I have no further details, I will get a photo of the now rebranded Food4Less in Temecula and the closed Mega Warehouse Foods (now The Oceanside California Police Station). I was told that the Food4Less in Banning, CA was also a Big Bear that was rebrande...
