They remodeled the Victorville store a year or so ago, but the outlying buildings still have the old orange tile with white stucco above them.

The Fontana location was located on the south east corner of Sierra and Foothill Blvd. I believe the location now is a ...what else [Walmart]. The shopping center was an L shape with a opening from the front parking lot to the rear at the base of the L. Food Giant was located facing Sierra and was t...

Another Alta Lona location
There was also a location in Alta Loma that doesn't appear on the 73 locations. I think in was built in the late 70's or early 80's. It was located on the se corner of 19th street and Carnelian. Also I didn't see you list a location in Ontario. It was a newer store and was on the nw corner of 4th st...

Any one remember Sunrise Market in Cucamonga
I remember growing up in Cucamonga [not Rancho Cucamonga as it has been called since my teens]. A guy that I swore was old then named Mel opened Sunrise Market on the corner of Baseline and Carnelian. He started with that store and lease a few other spots next to it. Over the years he just kept addi...

We had two best stores that I remember shopping in. One was located in Montclair, CA. It was located on the sw corner of Central Ave. and I believe Arrow Hwy. It is now a Best Buy. The other one was in San Bernardino. I was right next to the I-215 on the east side. It was across the street from Caro...

2380 Sterling Ave San Bernardino
Yeah Jeff, the store is on highland and sterlling. I look it up on live local and I noticed the gas station has been torn down. I opened that store in 1986 and the old gemco gas station was directly across the parking lot from the garden shop.

I remember the milk sold at my local 7-11 as Adohr farms. We had a 7-11 in Cucamonga on Baseline back in the early 70's. It was one of the chain stores we had built in town. On the south side we had a new Mayfair, but that was too far to go for a young kid. I could however walk up the street [layton...

I was part of the crew that opened store 7529 in Rancho Cucamonga on Haven Ave. The store opened with a Cafeteria tucked into the back wall between receiving and the offices. We also had the deli in front of the registers on the front wall between the main entrance and the cosmetics dept. The cafete...

Mayfair/cucamonga
I moved to Cucamonga in 66 when I was 2. A few years after moving there a Mayfair was built on Foothill blvd between Archibald and Hellman. It later became a independant market called Perry's. The store on Central in Montclair was built much later and was part of a large complex.

food giant
Was this the same chain that operated Food Giant in California. I remember in the late 60's early 70s my parents shopping at the Food Giant in Fontana, CA on the se corner of Sierra and Foothill Blvd. There was a Food Giant on the east end of the parking lot, a small jc penneys and a thrifty on the ...

I remember Target had a specific name for the design with the ceiling tiles lowered around the raceway. The design was also used at the Chino store on Central just north of the 60 freeway. Its been years since I've been down there and I don't know if this store is still open. I think that roofline w...

I remember as a kid, my family often went to the location on Indian Hill Blvd. The Sambo's was just north of the I-10 freeway on the east side between the off ramp and the first intersection. The last I remember the location was a bakers square.

I just came across this board and thought I would add my 2 cents. I worked for Target stores in 87 and 88. I trained at store T188 on orange show rd in San Bernardino. It was a former white front and fedmart store. Where the pic and save or big lots is now use to be the grocery part of those two sto...
