The old 7-11's here in central cali are still in business. Big difference from the past is that they no longer have gas stations and they also no longer have the infamous nachos/chili cheese dogs. When they discontinued the nachos/chili dogs is when I stopped going there. memories of eating there go...

There was one of these in Modesto in the early 80's. It was also located next to an Alpha Beta. Both stores went out of business around the same time(mid 80's). It was a terrible part of town they were located in. Might have played a factor in the store closings in this area.

There was a Zody's in Ceres back in the early-mid 80's. It was a HUGE store. My family shopped there quite often. When it went out of business, the building sat empty for almost 20 years. Insane. I always wondered why they didn't make it into a theater or something. Almost two years ago, it became a...

Once Musicland went under, I started ...

Wow. I didn't know these still existed. If I ever make a trip to LA, eating there will be a top priority. There was a Pioneer chicken here in Turlock back in the mid 80's. KFC was my favorite restaurant back then, but my grandma liked going to Pioneer chicken(it was near her house). We ate there qui...

There was one of these in my area back in the 80's. Like others here have mentioned, the pizza was mediocre, and I always preferred Straw Hat, Round table, and others over Shakey's.

And they still serve all the classic items. I really find that hard to believe. Pizza, Taco, and burrito snacks were discontinued in the mid/late 80's, and the last time I went to a kmart(about 2 years ago) they had the sub sandwiches, but they weren't the same. I cant imagine one store having thes...
