Hi,To answer your question yes Safeway had several stores in Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware and yes they had a marina store on Route 1 in Rehoboth which is now part of the Outlets.Safeway closed these stores and all of the stores south of Easton on Delmarva back in the 80!s. Correct! The old Acme is the A frame across the street from the current Acme with its back facing Route 13 and is now a church. The brick building you are speaking about was an Aimes, adjacent to the Aimes was and early A&P and the Roses was theat stores succesor. Hope It Helps

Hi, Actualy , The current Acme building in Smyrna is only five years old and was expanded only last november. Prior to that row stores stood on that site and were knocked down. Hi,yes, the ShopRite in Hilsdale N.J. was a Valley Fair! Do you remember the Finast in PearlRiver or the Foodtown on Kinderkermack Road I'm Montvale(It use to be and Acme} I grew up in Bergen county and Rockland Couinty as a kid. My dad ran both those stores.
