Re: Tops Friendly Markets International Super Center
What information are you looking for ? Tops still uses many of the features in other locations that were developed at the Amherst location. There are a few other resources that I could point you to.

Re: Tops Friendly Markets International Super Center
The store is located at 3980 Maple Road in Amherst, NY . Here is some background on the store from Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tops_Friendly_Markets : (Note: Wikipedia should not be taken as the official story of the store / brand, but it contains a good summary of what happened.) "...

Re: 1974 Ads: A&P, Acme, Bells, Loblaws, Park Edge, & More
Was the B-Kwik connected to Tops? Seems to show quite a few Tops branded items. Perhaps that was an early part of their "convenience stores" chain that they had until not too long ago when they sold to 7/11)? B-Kwik was the franchised / Small format version of Tops Friendly Markets. Even ...

Tops Friendly Markets
Tops Friendly Markets has been around since the early 1960's and has gone through many ups and downs but has managed to survive. Re: Park Edge Supermarket Clarence New York
I Dad ran the store and it seemed like he knew all of his customers by name. Sometimes he would pick out a nice steak in the meat department and he would cook it for us in the managers office in an electric frying pan. The managers office was a small elevated box like room with 4 or 5 foot walls an...

Re: Barker's Department Stores
I am pretty sure there was no connection between Barker's and White-Modell. There was a White-Modell location on NY 211 in Middletown, NY that sat empty for years after closing in the mid to late 1970's. This location later became a successful Caldor in the early 1980's. At the other end of Orange C...
